Washington is installing an air defense system inside its illegal bases in Syria ~ واشنطن تنصب منظومة دفاع جوي داخل قواعدها غير الشرعية في سوريا

(Google Translate) Reliable sources report that Al-Mayadeen has completed the installation of an air defense system at the Al-Omar field base in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

The “international coalition” led by the United States of America is working to enhance the human and armed military presence in its illegal bases on Syrian territory, by increasing the elements and the armament capacity of these bases in the governorates of Hasaka and Deir Ezzor.

Since the beginning of this year, the United States of America has brought in about 12 convoys carrying weapons and logistical materials to its illegal bases in Syrian territory, starting from northern Iraq.

Al- Mayadeen learned from reliable sources that the “international coalition” had finished installing an air defense system at the Al-Omar base in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

The sources added that American helicopters transported soldiers with shoulder-fired air defense missiles from Iraq to their illegal base in the dwellings of the Al-Jabsa oil fields in the city of Al-Shaddadi, south of Hasakah.

The sources pointed out that the recent US moves are due to concerns about bombing its bases in the region, in a repeat of the scenario of the Ain al-Assad base in Iraq, considering that Washington wants to secure air and ground protection for the military bases in the areas it occupies in the governorates of Hasaka and Deir Ezzor.

Last month, the United States began transferring logistical equipment to the Ain Dewar area on the Syrian / Iraqi / Turkish border triangle in Hasaka Governorate, with the aim of starting building an illegal base there.

Earlier in the day, SANA announced that the US occupation forces would continue to transfer soldiers and military equipment from Iraqi territories to the bases they occupy in the countryside of the Syrian city of Hasaka, in the northeast of the country.

In details, the official Syrian news agency “SANA” said that 4 aircraft, including two helicopters of the American occupation forces, landed at the occupation base in the city of Al-Shaddadi. “

The American move to thwart Russian attempts to establish a base in the same area, Ain Dewar, comes after it was unable to build a military base there, under pressure from the people, and at the instigation of the “Syrian Democratic Forces” that reject the Russian expansion in the vicinity of oil and gas wells .

Washington may want from these steps to limit Russian influence in the Syrian east, and to prepare to confront any popular resistance that arises in the region against its illegal presence on Syrian soil.

The American website “For Peace” published a report indicating that the United States intends to deploy a mobile defense missile system in Syria and Iraq soon.

The report stated that the short-range air defense missile system “Avenger” is the best readily available system to protect US forces in Syria and Iraq from the increasing threat posed by drones.

According to the report, it is likely that the United States, late last month, transferred the “Avenger” system to the locations of its forces in the Deir Ezzor region in eastern Syria.
